Join us this fall for another incredible FBINAA training event!

This time, Ferris will present to the FBI National Academy Association Arkansas Chapter in September of 2025. Her presentation will cover the chain of events leading to her shooting incident, the process of recovery, the importance of training, and lessons learned. This presentation will be three hours long which will also allow for a detailed look at the investigation, video footage, radio traffic, and leadership successes and failures in this incident. She will also discuss how a focus on purpose helped her prevail through the event and build a foundation of resiliency.

The Police Officer Memorial Service honors the immense sacrifice of law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Events like these remind us of the risks and challenges faced by not only officers but also their families. This profession, along with many other public safety professions, requires a great deal of compromise and selflessness on the part of family members. This event allows law enforcement officials, families, colleagues, and communities to come together and remember their local heroes. They also offer an opportunity to appreciate the vital role of law enforcement in protecting the communities they serve.

NMSP is hosting their Women’s Law Enforcement Summit in Spring 2025. This even will include women sharing stories, accomplishments, and goals for their futures, inspiring one another and making new memories. Through the 30x30 Initiative and collaboration with their community partners, they celebrate internal leadership, address challenges, reflect on critical incidents, and uplift each other’s stories, building a resilient and inclusive future together.

Ferris has been asked to present to the staff at Solid Ground Security Solutions, located in Maryville, TN. Ferris will speak on the investigative portion of her incident, her firsthand perspective of the events, the importance of training, and more. She will include lessons in recovery and resiliency, and will also discuss mental health, her connection to officer suicide, and how a focus on purpose is the foundation for all of the above. This presentation will also allow for a detailed look at video footage, radio traffic, scene photos, and more.

While it will cover leadership lessons, this presentation is hosted by leaders that are absolutely outstanding in their field. Ferris is truly thrilled to be able to travel to Columbia, South Carolina to speak at a USC Division of Law Enforcement and Safety training event.
